Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Audio Visual Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audio-visual systems and technology, with the ability to troubleshoot software and maintain equipment effectively. This role involves telecommunication tasks, installation, and support of various audio-visual systems in diverse environments.
Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools.
- Perform software troubleshooting to resolve technical issues related to AV systems.
- Telecommunicate with clients and team members to provide support and guidance on AV system usage.
- Work with Electrical & Instrumentation (E & I) components to ensure proper functionality of AV setups.
- Execute cabling tasks for low voltage systems, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools to assemble and install AV equipment according to schematics and technical drawings.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on all AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to coordinate installations and repairs efficiently.

“Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics…”
- System Assembly & Setup
“Proficient at IT equipment assembly and testing.”
- Demolition and Disposal
“Performs demolition and disposal of network and power infrastructure.”
- Rack/AV Equipment Install
- Cable Pulling & Termination
- AV/VTC Infrastructure (credenzas, displays, devices)
- Patch Panel Work
- Cable Testing, PITCO, Labeling
- Reading Schematics/Drawings
- Assembly, Device Setup, IT Config
- Peripheral Duties (e.g. demolition, equipment tracking)
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Audio Visual Technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of audio-visual technology.
- Familiarity with low voltage cabling and installation practices.
- Proficient in reading schematics and technical diagrams related to AV systems.
- Ability to use a voltmeter for testing electrical components as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot software issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills for effective telecommunication with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
