Position Summary:
The System Administrator provides essential support in managing and maintaining the client’s systems AWS cloud infrastructure. This role ensures system uptime, patching, security compliance, and supports hotfix and rollback deployments. The Administrator serves as a member of the Fast Action Support Team to resolve time-sensitive and mission-critical issues rapidly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain IT systems across both Microsoft and Linux platforms.
- Perform patch management, system upgrades, and enforce STIG compliance.
- Support system deployment and administration within AWS environments.
- Conduct critical issue analysis and deploy hotfixes or initiate rollback procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure, high-availability system performance.
- Participate in time-sensitive response operations and deployment events as a member of the Fast Action Support Team.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of IT system administration experience with both Microsoft and Linux.
- 2+ years of hands-on AWS infrastructure maintenance including patching, STIG application, and upgrade procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or training in AWS best practices for system administration and secure deployments.
Desired Certifications:
- AWS Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
- AWS SysOps Administrator – Associate
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or equivalent
- 5+ years of CI/CD software development experience
- 5 years of experience with DoD software development
- 5 years of experience working with DoD Combatant Commands (CCMD) or Service Cyber Components.
- Experience developing, testing, or sustaining software in a cloud based CI/CD Software development environment.
- Experience with migrating and integrating data from unclassified to classified application deployments using AWS Diode.
